The economic crisis has made a lot of people sit up and take notice of what is going on around them. They have come to realise that things will become a little tighter, whilst prices go up around them.

For example, some companies offer medical insurance as part of their pay and benefits packages. This can give great peace of mind, and sometimes covers family members as well. Whilst our National Healthcare service may be free, for more serious consultations and operations, going private is a way to fast track.

Others may offer some form of discount scheme for not only their own stores, but for partner stores as well. One company has a neat little package which offers good discounts from a whole range of high street stores.

One thing that may need consideration, is if a company car is on offer. Years ago, this used to prove to be quite a good deal, but over time, the edge that the perk of having it gave, has been slowly eroded. Some companies offer an option to buy a car, and this might prove worthwhile for some.
