It is interesting to note how much things have changed since the Industrial Revolution. The world is now so much more capable of doing so many more things - producing goods more efficiently, delivering them more efficiently, and obviously we know how much more "efficiently" (or at least how much!) we consume goods. All of it, of course, requires energy and money, two things that were brought together in terms of an investment vehicle by the introduction of master limited partnerships (MLPs) into the financial marketplace. MLP mutual funds give people a chance to invest in the energy infrastructure of the nation, as well have a dividend-playing investment that is a great way to diversify a portfolio.
